Pork Schnitzel
Schnitzels were a big part of my childhood. They are super easy to make and soooo good! It can be made with chicken too. You can serve them with pretty much any side dishes, salads or make sandwiches out of them. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-4 thick boneless pork chops
-1 egg
-1 cup Italian bread crumbs
-1 tsp seasoned salt, divided
-1 tsp garlic powder, divided
-1 tsp ground black pepper, divided
-3 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
Slice chops in half (lengthwise). In a shallow bowl, beat the egg and season it with 1/2 tsp seasoned salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp black pepper. In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs with remaining seasoned salt, garlic powder and black pepper.
Place chops in between plastic wrap. Tenderize with meat mallet. Dredge chops first through egg mixture, then through bread crumb mixture.
Heat oil in large skillet. Place chops in and cook for about 4 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Enjoy!
