Frozen Chocolate Bananas
This is a quick, simple and delicious treat, perfect for a hot summer day. It's a Paula Dean recipe, and amazingly there's no butter in it! :) We really enjoyed these treats and I hope you will too. I chose to roll ours in coconut flakes, sprinkles or leave them simple. You can also do this with other fruit, like cherries, strawberries, pineapple, etc. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
-1 Tbs vegetable oil
-about 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
-about 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
-3 large bananas, cut into large bite-size pieces
-toothpicks
Directions:
Line serving platter with wax paper.
Melt chocolate chips. Add oil and stir well, until smooth. Spear each banana chunk with a toothpick. Dip in chocolate, then roll through coconut flakes, sprinkles or leave them plain. Place on prepared platter. Freeze for at least 20 minutes or up to 8 hours. Enjoy!
