Lexie's Soft Sugar Cookies

Lexie made these for us the other day and they were gone in just a few minutes! They are soft and super tasty. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

-1 cup sugar

-1/2 cup shortening
-1 large egg
-1/2 cup sour cream
-1/2  tsp vanilla extract
-1/4 tsp baking soda
-1/4 tsp salt
-2 tsp baking powder
-2 1/4 cups flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
In your electric mixer's bowl, cream the sugar and shortening. Add the egg, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix well, then add the remaining ingredients.
Once well mixed, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and place on prepared sheets.
Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges start to get golden brown.
