Savory Cheese Pie (Placinta cu Branza)

 Oh, what a delight this is! It brings back childhood memories from Romania. The taste is amazing and the texture wonderful. Super delicious and super easy! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

-butter flavored cooking spray

-1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

-1 lb block good feta cheese (do not use already crumbled feta since it's more dry and less tasty)

-2 large eggs

-2 cups heavy cream

-1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat the sides and bottom of 9x13 baking dish with butter flavored cooking spray. 

Place the thawed puff pastry sheet and stretch as much as possible, without breaking. Crumble the feta cheese right on top. 

Whisk the eggs, then add the cream and pepper. Pour over feta.

Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool a little, slice and enjoy. YUM!
