Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Bake
This is quick to put together and very tasty. The flavors are wonderful together and this comes out as a great comfort food dish. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
-2 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, cut into chunks
-1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
-1/2 lb bacon, chopped, then cooked until crisp, drained on paper towels
-2 tsp salt, divided
-2 tsp pepper, divided
-2 tsp garlic powder, divided
-2 onion powder, divided
-3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
-1 cup heavy cream
-2 Tbs butter, chopped into tiny pieces
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Grease bottom and sides of 9x13 baking pan. Place potato chunks on the bottom. Season with half of the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place chicken chunks on top. Add the broccoli florets, drained bacon, and 2 cups of the cheese. Season with remaining spices.
Pour cream on top and add butter pieces evenly all over the casserole. Cover tightly with foil and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
Remove foil and sprinkle remaining cup of cheese on top. Bake, uncovered for another 10 minutes.
Remove that goodness from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Scoop onto plates and enjoy!
