Lexie's Slow Cooker Winter Cherry Cobbler

Lexie made this for us the other day and it was a hit!  So easy, so simple, and so delicious! The beauty of this kind of dish is that you can use canned fruit/pie filling instead of fresh fruit, which is kind of hard to find and pricey during the winter months. Also, you can use any flavor you like: raspberry, lemon, blueberry, etc. The possibilities are endless. :) Make sure to have some yummy vanilla ice cream to top it with. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-2 (21 oz each) cans cherry pie filling
-1 (16.5 oz) box white cake mix
-1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, cut into chunks
Directions:
Coat the bottom of your slow cooker with cooking spray.  Add the pie filling and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the cake mix on top. Add the butter chunks evenly on top of cake mix.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
Serve with vanilla ice cream on top. Enjoy!
