Broccoli-Pasta Soup

Since the weather insists on being cold and snowy, I keep on making nice, hot soups to warm us up. This one is super easy, loaded with yummies, and super delicious.  It also makes a ton, so you can half it if you have a smaller family (or you could freeze it for later). Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1/2 lb bacon, chopped
-1 medium onion, finely chopped
-1 clove garlic, minced
-6 cups chicken broth
-1.5 cups dry elbow macaroni
-1 lb broccoli florets
-6 cups milk
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp pepper
-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
In a large pot, brown the bacon. Once it render its fat and is nice and brown, add the onion. Give it a good stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.  Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the broth and bring it to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 7 minutes, Toss in the broccoli and milk. Give it a good stir and heat to just boiling point.
Remove pot from stove and stir in the cheese. Ladle into bowls and enjoy!
