Easy Apple Dump Cake
Here's a super easy and delicious dessert. Our family loves this and it gets gobbled up immediately. You can enjoy it as is, with some ice cream on top, or with whipped cream and caramel sauce. The possibilities are endless and the result will always be simply delicious. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-butter flavored cooking spray
-3-4 large apples (gala work great for this), peeled and chopped
-2 Tbs packed brown sugar
-2 Tbs packed brown sugar
-1 tsp cinnamon
-3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
-1 (15.25 oz) box super moist yellow cake mix
-1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat the bottom and sides of 9x13 dish with butter flavored cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the chopped apples with the sugar and cinnamon. Mix well, then dump in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with the chopped pecans. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top. Make sure it's even. Pour melted butter on top and cover as much as the dry cake as possible. Using the butter spray, cover the areas that are still dry.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with desired toppings or as is. YUM! Enjoy!
