Pierogies with Sausage and Broccoli

This is a quick and absolutely delicious meal! The flavor combination is wonderful. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
-16 oz frozen 4 cheese pierogies
-1/2 cup water
-1 lb mild pork sausage
-2 garlic cloves, minced
-1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
-1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
-1 cup chicken broth
-1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Heat the oil in large skillet. Add the pierogies and cook until the bottoms begin to brown. Pour in the water and let is simmer for about 5 minutes or until the water is almost completely evaporated. Lower the heat and continue cooking for a couple more minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Remove skillet from stove.
While the pierogies are cooking, brown the sausage in a separate skillet, breaking the clumps as it cooks. Add the garlic and pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in the broccoli. Add the broth and bring to a simmer. Simmer, uncovered, for about 5 minutes or until the broccoli is tender. Remove from heat and sprinkle with the cheese on top.
To serve, place a few pierogies on a plate, then top with the sausage-broccoli mixture. Enjoy!
