Lexie's Banana-Cinnamon-Maple Muffins

My cute daughter made these for us and they are absolutely delicious! What a great way to use those overripe bananas!  YUM!  Enjoy!
This recipe yields 24 muffins
Ingredients:
-1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
-2/3 cup pure maple syrup
-6 very ripe bananas
-1/2 cup milk
-1 Tbs vanilla extract
-4 large eggs
-1 Tbs cinnamon
-2 tsp baking soda
-1 tsp salt
-3 cups flour
-some extra cinnamon, for topping
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Line 2 muffin pans with liners and set aside.
Melt the butter in small saucepan. Once melted, add the maple syrup. Give it a good stir and cook for a minute.
Pour mixture into your electric mixer bowl and start mixing on low. Add banana chunks, one at a time. Add the milk and vanilla. Beat until well mixed and banana chunks are much smaller.
Stir in the eggs, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and flour, half of cup at the time.  Once nice and smooth, fill up the prepared pans. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon on top.
Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Remove muffins from the oven and cool in pan on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove muffins from pan and continue cooling on wire rack.  Enjoy!
