Lexie's Cheesy and Garlicky Mac and Cheese
Ingredients:
-1 lb elbow macaroni
-1/2 stick (4 Tbs) butter
-5 garlic cloves, minced
-4 Tbs flour
-1 cup milk(no less than 2%)
-2 cups heavy cream
-2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
-1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp dry mustard
-black pepper, to garnish
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
While pasta is cooking, let's make the cheesy garlicky sauce.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Whisk the flour in to make the roux. Once is nice and smooth, add the milk and cream. Whisk until smooth. Add the cheeses, garlic powder, and mustard. Mix well.
Add the drain pasta and give it a good stir. Scoop onto plates and garnish with pepper. YUM! Enjoy!
