Air Fryer Rotisserie Chicken
This is definitely the best homemade rotisserie chicken, thanks to the air fryer! There's no butter or oil involved, not even cooking spray, yet the chicken is super moist and the skin nice and crispy. Super YUM! I like to keep the spices simple, but in good quantities. You can experiment with your own spices combo. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1 (4.5 lbs) whole chicken, giblets removed
-1 Tbs seasoned salt
-1 Tbs pepper
-1 Tbs garlic powder
Directions:
Secure the chicken legs with kitchen twine. Secure the wings with twine or kitchen pins. Once done, season the bird generously with the spices. Don't forget to season inside cavities and a little under the skin.
Carefully place bird on the rotisserie stick and attach inside the fryer. Set on rotisserie setting (400 F) for 1 hour. Have fun watching the chicken slowly roast (the kids loved seeing the bird go around and around :).
Once done, check the temperature (at least 165 F), to make sure the chicken is cooked through. Carefully, remove the chicken from rotisserie stick and place on serving platter. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Carve and enjoy!
