-1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into strips
-2 garlic cloves, minced
-3/4 cup brown sugar
-3/4 cup soy sauce
-3/4 cup water
-3 Tbs cornstarch
-1 bunch (5.5 oz) green onions, trimmed and cut into big chunks
-cooked rice
-toasted sesame seeds
Directions:
Set your Instant Pot on saute. Add the oil and heat it up. Add the beef strips and saute until nice and golden brown. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
While all that is cooking, in a bowl, mix the sugar, soy sauce and water. Add to the beef-garlic mix. Give it a good stir.
Secure the lid on the pot, with the valve in the sealed position. Press manual on high pressure and set it for 10 minutes.
Do a natural release for 5 minutes, then switch to quick release.
Remove lid and set on saute. Add the cornstarch and give it a good stir, making sure it all dissolved nicely. Add the green onions and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Turn off the pot.
Serve on top of cooked rice and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds on top. Enjoy!
