Spicy Sausage Mac and Cheese

 Easy and super delicious! This is a family favorite for us. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
-13 oz Louisiana-style hot smoked links (or your favorite hot smoked sausage)
-1/2 lb bacon, chopped
-2 Tbs butter
-2 cups heavy cream or half and half
-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
-2 Tbs chives
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Boil the pasta in hot water according to package directions. Drain.
While the pasta is cooking, slice the sausage and quickly brown on both sides in a hot wok. Remove from wok.
Return wok to stove and cook the bacon until nice and crumbly. Remove bacon onto paper towel lined plate.
Return wok and bacon grease to stove. Add the butter. Once the butter is melted, stir in the heavy cream and 2 cups of the cheese. Whisk until smooth. Stir in the cooked pasta, bacon, sausage and chives. Give it a good stir.
Remove from stove and sprinkle remaining cup of cheese on top.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown on top. YUM! Enjoy!
