Bread and Butter Pudding

I was reading a book based in the U.K. and they kept on talking about bread and butter pudding. Being a foodie, of course I had to look into it and make it to see what the hype was about. And I made this and we liked it. Yes, it is quite yummy. It's kind of like French toast, but a bit different. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-8-10 slices white bread, French style, about 1/2 inch thick
-butter
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 cup golden raisins
-3 large eggs
-2/3 cup sugar
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-a pinch of salt
-2.5 cups milk, warmed up (not boiled)
-powdered sugar, for serving
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray the bottom of 9x13 pan with butter cooking spray.
Spread butter on one side of the bread slices and place (butter side up) in the prepared pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon and raisins on top of bread.
Quickly whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, and warm milk. Once nice and well mixed, pour over bread.
Pour 1 cup of hot water in roasting pan, then add the pan with the bread mixture right in the middle of that. Cover the bread pan with foil.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for another 35 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
Remove pan from hot water. Slice, plate, and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
