M&M Cookies for Santa

My cute little daughter and her awesome Granma made these cookies.  They were absolutely delicious!  They are soft and yummy, the absolute perfect cookies for Santa.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

-1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

-1 cup packed brown sugar

-1/2 cup sugar

-2 large eggs

-2 tsp vanilla extract

-1 tsp salt

-1 tsp baking soda

-2 1/2 cups flour

-2 cups red and green M&Ms, divided

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 F.  Line 3 cookie sheets with parchment paper. 

In your mixer's bowl, cream the butter and sugars until nice and fluffy.  Add the eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and flour, half of cup at the time.  Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the M&Ms.  

Scoop cookie dough onto prepared sheets.  Top each cookie with the remaining M&Ms.  

Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are golden brown on the edges.

Remove from the oven and cool in sheets on wire rack for 10 minutes.  Remove cookies onto wire racks and cool completely.  Enjoy!
