Cherry Baked Cake

I'm not sure this qualifies as a pancake since there are no eggs in the batter.  What I do know is that this is delicious!  It's super easy, quick and very yummy!  You can enjoy it as is or with whipped cream or ice cream on top.  Also, you can use any fruit you like.  Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1/2 stick (1/4 cup) salted butter
-1 cup sugar
-1 cup flour
-1 cup milk (at least 2%)
-1 1/2 tsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1 (21 oz ) can cherry pie filling
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Place butter in 9x13 pan and put in hot oven to melt.
While the butter is melted, whisk the sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt in a bowl.  It's ok if the batter is a little lumpy.
Once butter is melted, carefully remove the pan from the oven and spread the melted butter all over, including on the sides. 
Pour batter on top of melted butter and tip the pan around to cover the whole bottom.  Carefully, spoon the cherry filling all over the batter.  Do NOT mix!
Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with choice toppings or as is.  YUM!  Enjoy!
