Philippino Pork Picadillo

This is such a delicious and hearty dish!  True comfort food! The flavors are simply wonderful together and you'll want seconds for sure!😉  You can use pretty much any kind of meat you want.  I chose pork because we like the flavor better in our family. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 onion, finely diced
-4 Tbs chicken broth
-1.5 lbs ground pork
-2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-1 cup water
-1 tsp dried thyme
-2 tsp dried parsley leaves
-3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
-1 large carrot, peeled and diced
-1 red bell pepper, diced
-1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
-1 (15 oz) can peas, drained
-1 cup dried cranberries
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp pepper
-hot rice
Directions:
Heat oil in large sauce pan.  Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.  Add the onion and cook for about 3 minutes or until translucent.
Stir in the chicken broth and cook for 3 more minutes.  Add the meat, breaking it as it cooks to prevent clumping. Once pork is no longer pink, add the Worcestershire sauce, water, thyme and parsley.  Give it a good stir and bring to a boil.
Turn down the heat and add the potatoes and carrot.  Mix well, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add the bell pepper and cook for 2 more minutes.  Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.
Lastly, add the peas, cranberries, salt and pepper.  Give it one last good stir and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
Scoop that deliciousness over cooked rice and enjoy!
