Honey-Orange Chicken Thighs

The glaze for this chicken is very tasty, with a little kick to it from the red pepper flakes. The chicken is first seared in the pan, then baked in the glaze and lastly broiled to give it a nice, crisp skin. I served ours on broccoli-cheddar rice, which was perfect as a side dish.  Super delicious!  Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1 Tbs vegetable oil
-4 chicken thighs, skin-on, bone in
-salt and pepper
For the glaze:
-juice from 2 oranges (about 1/2 cup)
-1/4 cup honey
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp pepper
-1 Tbs crushed red pepper flakes
Directions:
Heat oil in oven proof skillet.
Score thighs on skin side and season on both sides with salt and pepper. Place in hot oil and sear until golden brown on both sides.
While the chicken is cooking, preheat oven to 375 F and make the glaze.  To make the glaze, place all ingredients in small sauce pan.  Give it a good stir and bring it to a boil. Continue boiling for 3-5 minutes. Remove from stove.
Once chicken is browned, flip it skin side down.  Pour some of the glaze on each thigh.  Turn it over with the skin side up and pour remaining glaze on top.
Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, basting once in a while.
With the chicken still in the oven, turn oven to high broiling and broil for 2 minutes.
Remove chicken from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
