Spicy Meatballs
These are super easy to make and so, so delicious! You can also use any kind of meat you would like: chicken, turkey, pork, beef. They are just wonderful! Enjoy!
Recipe yields 45 meatballs
Ingredients:
For meatballs:
-2 lbs ground meat (turkey, chicken, beef, pork)
-2 lbs ground meat (turkey, chicken, beef, pork)
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp onion powder
-2 tsp salt
-1 tsp pepper
-1/2 tsp paprika
-2 large eggs
-1 cup Italian-style Panko breadcrumbs
For spicy sauce:
-1/2 cup hot sauce (I like to use Frank's)
-1 cup packed brown sugar
-2 Tbs apple cider vinegar
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 475 F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix all meatball ingredients. Use your hands to mix them together. Shape into balls and place on prepared sheets. Bake in preheated oven for 13 minutes.
While the meatballs are baking, combine all the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Mix well and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes. It will thicken as it rests.
Once the meatballs are done, remove from oven, but do not turn off the oven.
Brush the meatballs with the yummy spicy sauce. Once all the sauce has been used, return the meatballs to the oven and bake for 5 more minutes.
Serve hot over mashies and some veggies on the side. So good! Enjoy!
