Pan Seared Mule Deer with Green Beans
I like simple things and this recipe is just like that: simple and delicious! The deer is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and so are the green beans. I served mine on top of some cornmeal mush. So yummy! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-butter flavored cooking spray
-3.5 lbs mule deer
-salt and pepper
-1 lb green beans
-1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Generously coat a large pan with butter flavored cooking spray and heat it up.
Cut the deer into thick slices. Season on both sides with salt and pepper. Once the pan is hot, add the deer and quickly sear on both sides (a couple of minutes on each side).
Place the pan in the preheated oven and continue cooking for 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the meat rest for 5 minutes.
While that's cooking, using your rice cooker, steam the green beans for 15 minutes. Place in large bowl and toss with the olive oil and salt and pepper.
Serve and enjoy!
