Regular or Chocolaty Oatmeal

I love a good bowl of oatmeal in the morning and I make this as often as I can.  It's super quick and under 5 minutes!  It's tasty, fresh, and sometimes I like to make it chocolaty, just because. 😉You can enjoy it as is or with some fresh fruit on top.  YUM!  Enjoy!
Recipe yields 1 serving
Ingredients:
-1 cup milk (at least 2%)
-1/2 cup quick oats
-dash of salt
-1 Tbs packed brown sugar
-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
-1/4 tsp cinnamon
*** to make it chocolaty add an extra 1/2 Tbs packed brown sugar and 1 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder.
Directions:
In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.  Lower the heat to medium and add the oats and salt.  Give it a good stir and cook for a couple of minutes.  Quickly add remaining ingredients and mix very well.  Cook for 1 more minute, pour into bowl and enjoy! YUM!
