IKEA Cream Sauce for Meatballs
If you've ever dined at IKEA, you most likely enjoyed their delicious Swedish meatballs dish. My kids love them so much. This is the authentic IKEA recipe. I doubled it and adjusted the seasonings according to our liking. So easy and so very delicious! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-4 Tbs butter
-4 Tbs flour-2 cups beef broth
-2 tsp Dijon mustard
-1 Tbs soy sauce
-1 cup heavy cream
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp white pepper
Directions:
Make a roux by melting the butter and whisking in the flour. Once nice and smooth, cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the broth and whisk until smooth. Stir in the mustard, soy sauce, and cream. Mix well and season with the salt and white pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Add about 50 store bought homestyle meatballs and let them simmer in the sauce for about 10 minutes. Enjoy! YUM!
