Slow Cooker Elk Heart

This is another way to cook those amazing elk hearts. This is super tender and so delicious. I served ours with mamaliga (fresh polenta) and it worked perfectly. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-1 very large (or two small) elk heart, cleaned and cut into chunks
-1 cup water
-1/2 cup cooking red wine
-1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
-2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
-1 brown gravy packet
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp pepper
Directions:
Coat your slow cooker with butter flavored cooking spray. Add the elk heart chunks. Add remaining ingredients and give it a good stir. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 hours. Enjoy!
